About Rachel


Rachel Zenzinger is the Colorado Senator from Arvada, representing Senate District 19 in Jefferson County. Rachel grew up on the Western Slope and came to the Front Range to attend college at Regis University. She received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Education, as well as her teaching license. She has a deep background in education and a strong passion for public schools.

Teacher

Rachel attended Regis University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Adult Learning. She is a licensed secondary-level social studies teacher. She also worked in the Master’s of Arts in Education program at Regis University.

Mom

From a family with five brothers and three sisters, Rachel has two college-aged children. One attends the University of Northern Colorado and the other attends Colorado State University. They are her highest priority. They inspire her to work every day to make our community and state the best possible place to raise a family.

Leader

Prior to serving in the State Legislature, Rachel was twice elected to the Arvada City Council representing District One. She also served as a board member to several organizations such as the Arvada Center, Ralston House, and Denver Regional Council of Governments.
