Legislative Town Hall Meeting: "Jeffco Housing Blueprint: From Out of Reach to Reality"
Please join Sen. Rachel Zenzinger, and Reps. Daugherty, Bird, and Titone, for our last legislative town hall of the year. On Saturday, October 19 we will host the Jeffco Housing Advocacy Steering Committee, who will discuss the "Jeffco Housing Blueprint," an affordable housing plan for our region to help increase the availability of safe and affordable housing in Jeffco. The meeting will take place at the Indian Tree Golf Course (NOT the library). We hope to see you there!
Jeffco Council on Aging Candidate Forum for Seniors
On October 10, from 2-4 pm at the Apex Community Center (6842 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada), the Jefferson County Council on Aging will host a Candidate Forum featuring candidates serving all or part of Jefferson County. This includes U.S. House of Representatives (CD 6 and 7), various state senate and house districts, county commissioners and county sheriff.
Candidates will be given four minutes to address the audience, and they have been asked to emphasize their accomplishments and plans with a special focus for seniors, including topics such as affordable and accessible housing, independence, healthcare, safety, food availability, transportation, poverty, tax relief or social isolation.
Ballot Measures Forum & Fair
Join Senators Cutter and Zenzinger, Representatives Duran, Titone, deGruy Kennedy and Lieder, and Commissioners Dahlkemper and Kerr, for a ballot measures forum and fair, Saturday, October 5 at 10 am. Join us to hear advocates on both sides of key issues and for an opportunity for questions and conversation about the issues on your ballot this November. We will meet in the Community Room at Red Rocks Community College Lakewood Campus.
Legislative Town Hall Meeting: "The 2024 Statewide Ballot Issues"
Please join Sen. Rachel Zenzinger, and Reps. Bird, Daugherty, and Titone, for a legislative town hall meeting on Saturday, September 21 at 10: 30 am. This month’s topic will be an overview of the November statewide ballot issues. The presentation will be factual in nature and NOT persuasive. Legislative Town Hall Meeting: “Back to School!”
Please join Senator Zenzinger and Representatives Bird, Daugherty, and Titone for a “Back to School” town hall event on Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 am.
We will have a panel of experts joining us to discuss a number of education issues, such as enrollment trends, school closures, recent legislation that will impact schools, and more.
Guest panelists will include Danielle Varda from the Jefferson County School Board, and Riley Kitts from the Colorado Children’s Campaign.

Legislative Town Hall: "Understanding Wildfire Prevention & Control in Colorado"
Wildfires have had devastating effects in Colorado. Due to our geographic makeup, wildfire is always a concern and a more potent threat during droughts or dry spells. Please join me on Saturday, July 20 for an engaging panel discussion from state, county and local experts on wildfire prevention and control efforts.
Panelists will include Mike Morgan, Director of Colorado’s Division of Fire Prevention and Control from the Department of Public Safety. Joining him on the panel will be Jefferson County Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper, who sits on the Jeffco Wildfire Commission and will discuss the Community Wildfire Protection Plan.

Legislative Town Hall Meeting: “Bridging Advocacy and Action: Nonprofits and Legislation”
Please join Senator Rachel Zenzinger, and Representatives Lindsey Daugherty, Brianna Titone, and Shannon Bird for our Legislative Town Hall Meeting:“Bridging Advocacy and Action: Nonprofits and Legislation.” This month's topic will be about volunteerism and the benefit of top nonprofit organizations that serve our community. We will have guest speakers from several organizations including the Colorado Gives Foundation, Colorado Nonprofit Association, SCFD, and Jefferson Center for Mental Health!

Campaign Kickoff for Jeffco Commissioner
Please join Commissioner Andy Kerr and me for a special campaign kickoff event in support of our bids for Jefferson County Commissioner. Commissioner Kerr is running for re-election to the District 2 seat, and I hope to join the Board as the District 1 representative. The event will take place on Sunday, June 9 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Green Mountain Beer Company, 2585 S. Lewis Way #110, Lakewood, CO 80227.
Legislative Town Hall Meeting: Legislative Wrap-up

CANCELLED! Legislative Town Hall Meeting: All about the budget!
I regret to inform you that the town hall meeting this coming Saturday, April 20, is cancelled. The Colorado State Representatives in the House have been informed that they will be called into session this Saturday. It is possible that the State Senate will also be called into session this weekend as well. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you at our next town hall meeting on Saturday, May 18.

Legislative Town Hall Meeting: School Board Candidate Forum
Join legislators Sen. Rachel Zenzinger, Rep. Shannon Bird, Rep. Lindsey Daugherty, and Rep. Brianna Titone on Saturday, October 21 for our regular monthly town hall. This month we are hosting a forum featuring school board candidates for the Jeffco Public Schools Board and the Adams 12 Board of Directors. This informational forum will offer voters an opportunity to learn more about the candidates and their positions.

We have invited a number of issue experts to discuss the Colorado River Compact, recent Colorado laws, our water infrastructure basics, and the impact of climate change and drought to our water supply in Colorado. Hear from experts on topics ranging from the budget forecast, TABOR, taxes, school finance and more! Special guests include experts from the Colorado Fiscal Institute, as well as the Chair and Vice Chair of Colorado’s Joint Budget Committee, Senator Rachel Zenzinger and Representative Shannon Bird.

Once a month, Sen. Zenzinger hosts a legislative town hall meeting along with Representative Brianna Titone (HD 27), Representative Lindsey Daugherty (HD 24), and Representative Shannon Bird (HD 29). These meetings feature a guest speaker or panel of experts on a different topic related to state government.
When: Third Saturday of the month from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
